Born in 1984, Michael Beerens lives and works in the Paris region.
Michael Beerens’ work combines both his passions: graffiti from the 1990s and the underwater world he discovered during a trip to Turkey, which led him to become a diver.
His passion for the world under the sea gives him a particular sensitivity towards nature and the animal world that have become his chosen themes. This commitment led the artist to produce an order for COP21 in 2015. The work, painted on the ground, represents a school of fish whirling around a luminous well, a real bubble of oxygen in the heart of the city. This was to be the starting point for a new project: Deep Light.
With the poetic visions of Deep Light, Michael Beerens endeavours to erase the daily concrete gloom to reveal those moments of grace that only Nature can bestow.
